Poems after bed

Did ya spent some time with poems,after I left you for bed,
Did it leave you thinking lovely thoughts within your pretty head,
Did it make you want to reach for me,reach and hold my hand,
Did it make you want to try,and find the promised land,
Did you lie in bed with thoughts of me, like I did, of you,
Did you want to hug,as much as I did, hugging you,
I said my prayers,closed my eyes,snuggled with my final sighs,
To my pillow, I said ,goodnight Mary,and floated with my dreamland fairy.
